With more than 1,000 experts across disciplines, we are tackling pressing challenges and uncovering new opportunities that shape the future.

Research and Innovation portfolio

The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation (OVPRI) oversees all research and innovation activities at 9 1免费版下, offering support for research administration, awards, compliance, and major research facilities.

The OVPRI broadens the research enterprise by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening university partnerships with industry and the public, and enabling the effective dissemination of new knowledge through publications, technology transfer, commercialization, and community engagement.

Oversight is provided to the following areas:

The Office of Research Services supports researchers through every step of the research funding cycle, from preparing a proposal and applying for funding to post-award processing.

  • Promotes research funding opportunities
  • Supports faculty with research applications and proposals
  • Manages tri-agency and other grants, and internal processes
  • Manages institutional and international research granting opportunities
  • Provides access to industry leveraged funding opportunities
  • Legal review of research agreements
  • Post-award processing and compliance checks

Dal Partners works with researchers, alumni, and industry partners to move Dal鈥檚 discoveries and innovations from the lab to the marketplace.

Dal Innovates empowers students and faculty to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and mindsets to thrive in the innovation economy.

DRAC comprises the Associate Deans Research who act as a liaison between the Faculties and the OVPRI and advise the vice-president research and innovation on issues relating to the research enterprise at 9 1免费版下.
