Applying to residence is the first step in your life at 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ. Make sure to review the information provided to ensure your application process is quick and easy. Ready to apply?
You will be guaranteed a room in residence at 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ if you're a new, direct-from-high-school (domestic or international student) and have a complete application on file by May 1. Priority access will be given to students with one or more of the following identities:
Indigenous students, especially Mi’kmaq
African/Black students, especially Historical African Nova Scotian
Students with (dis)abilities or ongoing medical conditions that significantly impact housing needs

Make sure you've registered for classes
You must be a full-time 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ student to be eligible to live in residence. Complete the admissions process before you begin your residence application.Â
When you’re applying, you will be asked to provide ranked room preferences. Make sure to explore our buildings and have your choices ready. We will try our best to accommodate requests but we cannot make guarantees.Â
Room assignments are processed on a first come, first served basis, so applying early gives you the best chance of receiving one of your room preferences.
Students with disabilities or requiring special accommodations must indicate them on their application, complete a request, and provide the requested documentation.Â
