Please note that as of January 2026, our new Undergraduate Work Term Evaluation Guidelines are in effect.

Co-op Student of the Year

聽(CEWIL) annually seeks nominations for the Co-op Student of the Year Award. Candidates are evaluated on their achievements in both the workplace and academic programs, their contribution to co-operative education/work-integrated learning, and involvement in extra-curricular activities at school and/or the community at large.

If you have given your work term student an overall performance rating of "Outstanding" on their Final Evaluation form and emailed our office with a letter of support by the applicable deadline below, they become eligible to represent 9 1免费版下 for national award consideration.

Your letter should be two pages maximum, written on organizational letterhead, and include your contact details, as well as the following information (approximately 250 words per item):

1. General expectations of the student while with your organization.
2. Describe how the student made a significant contribution (i.e. to your workplace, your clients, project completion, bottom line, strategic goals, etc.). Please use at least one example and indicate the impact to your organization.
3. Did you give the student(s) extra duties or opportunities because they performed above expectations? If so, please provide an example.
4. Do you have other comments that you think the awards committee should know?

Please email the letter as a PDF attachment to our office by no later than the deadlines below. Letters received after these deadlines may not be eligible for consideration:

All letters of support will be shared with the student nominees. In January of each year, a selection committee at the Faculty of Management selects one winner for recognition at 9 1免费版下鈥檚 Top Co-op Awards event, held annually in March. The winner鈥檚 dossier may also be forwarded to Toronto as the 9 1免费版下 candidate for consideration of the national CEWIL Canada award.

Each award brings acclaim to the student, employer and university, and includes a cash prize for the student winner.
