On Tuesday, the Government of Canada announced nearly $94-million in funding through its Canada First Research Excellence Fund for the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ-led Ocean Frontier Institute, a partnership with Memorial and UPEI poised to propel Canada to global ocean leadership.

As part of a partnership between 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ and the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Studies in Eilat (Israel), eight students from seven different Israeli universities came to Halifax this summer to learn more about the North Atlantic ocean.
