Program Description
A BScN degree is a聽three-year professional program,聽which prepares students to become registered nurses (RNs).聽
An educational foundation
At the School of Nursing, we prepare future nurses to serve with聽skill,听辫谤辞蹿别蝉蝉颈辞苍补濒颈蝉尘听补苍诲听compassion聽in a wide range of health care settings.
罢丑别听foundation聽of that preparation is our three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree program. The program聽prepares聽students to become聽Registered Nurses听(搁狈蝉).
Students can earn their degree at our聽Halifax聽补苍诲听Yarmouth, Nova Scotia聽locations. Residents of聽Nunavut聽can enroll in our聽BScN (Arctic Nursing)聽program, offered in collaboration with聽Nunavut Arctic College.
For applicants who have聽previous university experience,聽we offer a聽Semester 3 Entry聽option聽to complete the degree in two years.

Dal SON offers聽Certificate Options聽for the BScN Program. Currently, there are five approved Nursing Certificates: Oncology, Public Health, Mental Health and Addictions Nursing, Perinatal and Paediatric, and Acute/Critical Care Nursing with other Nursing Certificate options currently in development. The certificate will enable students to explore an area of nursing more in-depth than the generalist level and is responsive to service sector demands in various targeted areas of nursing practice.
